The Payments component allows users to create payments in Sprout Social Influencer Marketing to track money transferred to Creators.
Register payments on Sprout Social Influencer Marketing in two ways:
Through Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's PayPal Integration: Sprout Social Influencer Marketing can track payment status and facilitate payment transfer to the recipient through PayPal.
Please note, that payments are not going through Sprout Social Influencer Marketing at any point. Sprout Social Influencer Marketing facilitates the money exchange between an agency or brand user and Creator via PayPal.
Manually: Register a payment that has happened (or will happen) outside of Sprout Social Influencer Marketing.
Create a Payment
When adding a new Payment, users can proceed in two ways: using PayPal (which is set as the default) or registering a manual payment.
Whether creating payments manually or using Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's PayPal integration, users need to specify the amount to be paid. If using PayPal, Sprout Social Influencer Marketing automatically calculates an estimation of the PayPal fee. In the case of Manual payments, users can manually enter a fee amount if relevant.
Prepare multiple payments for a Creator if they want to pay the total amount over the course of multiple installments.
PayPal Fees
When it comes to PayPal fees, the responsibility to pay falls on the receiving party, in this case, Creators.
For example, if $100 is entered into the amount field, the Creator receives approximately $97. Sprout Social Influencer Marketing has created an estimator to allow agencies and brands to account for that fee in their payment process.
Please note that this is an estimator based on PayPal documentation. Accuracy within this estimator is not guaranteed, as Sprout Social Influencer Marketing can't be 100% certain of PayPal's final fees before payments are made.
๐น Sprout Social Influencer Marketing Tip ๐น
The easiest way to ensure Creators do not end up paying a fee through PayPal is to turn on the PayPal Estimation Tool. This step ensures the Creator receives the entirety of their Creator Fee and the PayPal fee will be absorbed by the agency or brand.

Draft Payments
Agency or brand users do not need to proceed with payments to Creators right away. Draft Payments may be created and then paid later on.
