To collect and analyze data, Influencer Marketing integrates with supported platforms via APIs. An API, or Application Programming Interface, is a software intermediary that allows two applications to communicate. This connection enables Influencer Marketing to gather available data through the public APIs of different social platforms. "Public Data" refers to data obtained via these public APIs.
When a creator opts in or signs in to Influencer Marketing and grants permissions for their Instagram account, additional metrics from their Instagram Business Account, such as reach, impressions, and story data, become available. These first-party data points are provided only for content featured in Campaigns run on the Influencer Marketing platform. The platform pulls this data into Campaign Reports, helping users measure Campaign success, estimate potential product purchases driven by promotions, and evaluate campaign ROI.
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing only collects and displays data that is publicly visible on a Creator’s online social profile or page. The platform fully complies with the applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policies of social platforms.
