Signals Report: Sections

A Signals Report consists of six tabs or sections, each containing unique components. Once the query is made, the information is funneled into Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's Default Report Layout.

Signals Report Layout

The default Signals Report Layout contains six default sections: Overview, Profiles, Content, Locations, Categories, and Audience. Each section within the report contains a set of customizable components.

Overview

The overview section gives a detailed picture of the key metrics and insights from the posts that meet the query. Metrics are broken down over time, by platform, and by content type.

  • Summary

  • Performance Over Time

  • Engagement Rate

  • Post Summary by Platform

Profiles

This section shows a summary of Creators who posted content that meets the query parameters.

  • Top Creators

  • All Creators

Content

Here users can view content associated with the Signals query, sorted by Engagement by default.

  • Posts

    • To identify sponsored posts, we have a list of words and phrases that are commonly used, like #sponsored or #partner. We also make sure to include any other unique ways that brands might disclose that their post is sponsored, like using a specific hashtag, such as #brandpartner. Please reach out to your CSM if there’s a specific sponsored signal you’d like considered to be added to our index.

Locations

The Location section in the Signals Report presents top-level content performance metrics broken out by Creator location (not post location). These locations are broken out by country, city, and state of each Creator with content within the report.

  • Top Countries

  • Top Cities

  • Top States

Categories

In this section, content performance is broken out by Sprout Social Influencer Marketing-defined Categories. This enables users to view the Categories of the Creators who’ve posted content corresponding to the query.

  • Categories

Audience

The audience section shows a weighted audience composition (based on the Creators in the report, their individual demographics, and the number of times they’ve posted).

  • Age

  • Gender

  • Language

  • Race

  • Countries

  • Top Countries

  • Top Cities

  • Top States/Provinces

Each section in a Signals Report can be customized to present information in a way that works for your organization. For more information on how to edit a Signals Report, head here.
