Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's Paid Media reporting integration creates a holistic view of Campaigns that allows users to see influencer post metrics alongside paid media ads. Users can see any boosted influencer content in the Campaign Summary.
Connect an Ad Account
To connect an ad account, an Organization Admin must be granted access to the relevant Facebook Ad Account(s). Meta Business Manager administrators can grant access to users individually.
The only access required for the Sprout Social Influencer Marketing Organization Admin within the Ad Account is 'View Performance.'
Understandably, caution is taken when providing access to specific permissions. Allowing access to view performance will only enable the ability to view the performance reports of paid media posts and content associated with that post. This access is view-based, which means Sprout Social Influencer Marketing users cannot change or run ads from the ad account.
Once the appropriate account permissions are obtained, Sprout Social Influencer Marketing Organization Admins can connect the Meta Ad Account(s) with Sprout Social Influencer Marketing via Organization Settings.
Step 1:
Select the User Icon in the Navigation Bar, then select 'Integration.'
Step 2:
Select 'Meta Advertising.'
Step 3:
Select 'Add Ad Account.'
Step 4:
Confirm account ownership.
Step 5:
Enable 'Access to Facebook ads and related stats,' then select 'Done.'
Step 6:
Select the ad account(s) to connect to Sprout Social Influencer Marketing. Select 'Confirm.'
These paid media tokens expire after 60 days. Seven days before expiration, the user who initially connected Sprout Social Influencer Marketing with the Meta Ad Account will receive a notification about the pending expiration.
β
To ensure there is no interruption, the Organization Admin will, once again, need to verify ownership of the account, and the token is refreshed.
Add Paid Media Posts to a Campaign Summary
Users can add paid media posts to the Campaign Summary by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Head to the Campaign Summary.
Step 2:
Click on "Add Content" at the top of the view
Step 3:
Select 'Paid Media Ad,' then search for the associated Creator or Brand using the 'Find Profile' box.
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing provides flexibility to include ads associated with Creators or brands within the Campaign Summary. To add a boosted Creator post to the Campaign Summary, select that Creator's Profile. To add a post promoted by a brand handle, select that brand Profile.
If many ads exist within the ad account, utilize Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's various sort and filter solutions to locate relevant ads.
Add publication date ranges to hone in on particular ad accounts, ad campaigns, or ad sets.
Finally, Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's search box allows users to look for the name of the ad within the ad account or the copy utilized in the ad itself.
Please note, Dark Posts, or ads that appear in the newsfeeds of a selected set of users and nowhere else, can be added to Sprout Social Influencer Marketing using the same method.
Once finding an ad, select the content card to view more information about that specific post.
Select 'Ad Details' to view the ad metrics associated with the post.

πΉ Sprout Social Influencer Marketing Tip πΉ
When adding more than one round of Paid Media Ads within the Campaign Summary, select 'Add Another' to be brought back to this page instead of the Campaign Summary page.

Ads will appear in the Content section toward the bottom of the Campaign Summary. Distinguish ads from other influencer posts by looking for a small '$' symbol within the Content Cards.
Please note, if users utilized "mixed placement" to promote ads, and the same ad has been promoted across, for example, Facebook and Instagram, users will see the same ad twice in the content section. The corresponding platform logo will be located next to the Paid Media Indicator. This feature visualizes performance across all contexts where the ad was promoted.
