In Sprout Social Influencer Marketing, users within the same brand or agency are considered part of the same organization. Within each organization, there is an assigned Organization Administrator that can manage settings for the whole organization.
Navigate to Organization Settings by selecting the user icon, then “Settings”.
Upload a New Logo
Add or update the Organization’s logo on Sprout Social Influencer Marketing by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Select "Upload new logo".
Step 2:
Select the desired file to act as the logo for the Organization, then select "Open".
This setting can be changed at any time.
Security
Password Settings
The first available customization within Password Settings is “Force Password Change every 90 Days''. This will prompt every user in the organization to change their password if they haven’t done so in the previous 90 days.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
Admins are able to set up Single Sign-On (SSO), a time-saving, highly secure user authentication process. SSO lets users access multiple applications by signing in and signing out with a single account and one click.
Please note, SSO is an optional feature. The designated Customer Success Manager assigned to each Organization will provide recommendations on SSO should they feel this feature could benefit.
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing supports SSO using OpenID Connect standard and acts as a service provider (SP). We currently support Okta as an identity provider (IdP). Sprout Social Influencer Marketing is integrated with Okta both with API Management and without API management.
The steps for setting up SSO can be found here.
Campaign Defaults
The next element of Sprout Social Influencer Marketing’s Organization Settings is the Campaign Defaults. Here, Organization Admins can manage how does the Creator Flow.
Please note, that any changes made to Campaign Defaults will be reflected in all Campaigns within the Organization. If you want to configure individual Campaigns, head to individual "Campaign Settings".
Set Up Default Creator Flow
Arrange the different elements of Creator Flow in Organization Settings using ‘drag and drop’ to place them in the best order for the Organizations workflow. Changing the location of each element will reflect in Creator View and some areas of Campaigns.
Turn off entire elements of a Campaign by using the toggles on the right of each Creator Flow element. Any element of Creator Flow toggled off may not appear in various locations throughout the Campaign.
Set Up Default Summary Template
You can also configure the default template of Campaign Summary for each of the four use cases: individual Campaign, individual Project, Cross-Campaign report and shareable Collaborator Summary.
Custom Fields
Organization Admins can add Custom Fields to a Creator Profile, Campaign, and Creator View of Creator Flow. Custom Fields create a convenient place to house information that is relevant to the Campaign or Creator, and for that, they are often used as a CRM tool.
Add Custom Fields from Organization Settings by selecting the “Custom Fields” tab.
More information regarding Custom Fields can be found here.
Metrics
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing allows Admins to customize how Metrics are calculated and displayed throughout the platform created by the organization's admin.
Customizations made to metrics will reflect in varying parts of the platform. This enables users in the Organization to view the information that matters.
Select the toggle to the right to turn the data point on for the Organization.
The down-caret next to each data point enables users to make adjustments to that data point.
For more information regarding Campaign Metrics in Campaign Settings, head here.
Engagement Rate
By default, Sprout Social Influencer Marketing finds the engagement rate by dividing the number of engagements by the number of followers. Change the method calculation by selecting from the available options, then selecting “Save”.
Changing the calculation to a different methodology only reflects within Campaigns. Sprout Social Influencer Marketing’s default calculation throughout the platform for engagement rate remains ‘engagements over followers’.
Estimated Impressions
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing estimates impressions as a percentage of a Profile’s follower size for each platform. To change these percentages to fit the needs of every Campaign, head to Organization Settings.
Step 1:
Hover over a cell and select the pencil icon.
Step 2:
Edit that cell’s percentage.
Step 3:
Select "Save".
Earned Media Value
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing’s Earned Media Value (EMV) solution allows users to more closely attribute the value of an earned post with actual market values found in digital media (i.e., “media value”), whether through media buying or historical costs paid to Creators.
This tool allows users to quantify a single EMV value on the post-level, which will be included in an aggregated campaign EMV in the Campaign Summary.
Our EMV solution supports 30 different currencies, seven different platforms, customizable tiers, and two different models of how to calculate EMV:
Value per Metric- Use values informed by relevant benchmarks from digital media buying (i.e., CPE, CPV, etc.) that best relate to your campaign objective or KPI. Leverage Sprout Social Influencer Marketing benchmarks obtained from a 3rd party (using Ayzenberg’s Earned Media Value Index) or utilize your own.
Value per Content Type- Identify a “flat rate” per post based on what similar Creators are being paid for a similar output. Customize these internal compensation benchmarks to inform this calculation.
Please note, that when changing currencies, the values in the table will zero out. Sprout Social Influencer Marketing users need to recreate these benchmarks in the newly applied currency. Sprout Social Influencer Marketing will automatically convert USD, CAD, and GBP.
Any adjustments made in Organization Settings will reflect in all Campaigns within the Organization. To change the default values for specific Campaigns, do so in the Campaign Settings of that Campaign.
Value Per Metric
EMV is calculated on the post level by aggregating all Value Per metrics for the Creator’s Tier of the respective post. Remove any metrics from the aggregation by setting their value to $0.
For example, if a Creator received 1,000 likes and 1,000 comments on an Instagram Photo, the EMV for that post would be $2,000. This is because VPL (Value per Like) and VPCO (Value per Comment) are set to $1, while the remainder of the metrics are set to $0.
Please see the list below of all of the different abbreviations:
VPM - Value per Mille (Value per 1K Impressions)
VPC - Value per Click
VPL - Value per Like
VPCO - Value per Comment
VPS - Value per Share
VPV - Value per View
This and VPM can be interchangeable depending on the platform and content type.
For example, IG stories technically do not distinguish a static frame impression from a video frame view.
Value Per Content Type
Value per Content Type allows users to customize EMV calculations based on the type of content posted by the Creator rather than the interaction of the audience.
Creator Tier and post type can define the value appended to the post. This method is best practice when making comparisons of the potential value of earned content against what has historically been paid to Creators for other campaign work.
Additional Content Types may be added by selecting "+ Add Content Type", located near the bottom of the table.
Customize Tier Size
Sprout Social Influencer Marketing places Creators into Tiers, which are determined based on audience size. Here, users can create or customize Tiers within the Organization.
Step 1:
Go to the Organization’s Settings and select “Campaign Metrics.”
Step 2:
Select the down caret on Earned Media Value.
Step 3:
Select "Customize Tiers."
Step 4:
Edit the value of any tier.
Select the desired tier and type in the desired value.
Please note that there cannot be inconsistencies between any of the values. All whole numbers must be present once across all tiers, from the bottom of the smallest tier to the ceiling of the top tier. An error message will occur if a number is left or added twice.
The user in the example below has accounted for 25,000 followers in two tiers.
Create New Tiers
In addition to customizing the sizes of the audience, users are also able to split and name new tiers. From Earned Media Value tab within Campaign Metrics, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Select "Customize Tiers."
Step 2:
Select the ellipse and choose “Split”.
Please note that after splitting, users will have created a new tier. The tier that was split will now be "Tier A".
Rename Tiers
Step 1:
Hover over the title of a Tier and select the pencil icon that appears.
Step 2:
Type in the desired name.
Delete a Tier
To delete a Tier, select the ellipse, then “Remove.”
There must be a minimum of two tiers, so the smallest tier and the biggest tiers will not have ‘Remove’ as an option in the pop-up menu.
Please note, any modifications to tiers will only be reflected in the EMV calculations in Campaign Settings.
